Glamorgan Wales - Newbuild £48 million secondary school and SEN school planned opening September 2014. The main school will cater for 1,270 children and the SEN school 205 children. Contractors are Leadbitter’s (now owned by Bouygues) and designed by HLM Architects. Hill-Rom were chosen to supply 89 Overhead hoist systems within the SEN area of the school because of previous installation work within schools in the area.
Hill-Rom worked closely with the contractors and project team to help design systems for the complex needs of the students whilst working with the aesthetics of the new design. Overhead systems were installed for full room coverage in the classrooms, change areas, swimming pools, sensory rooms, gyms, multimedia rooms and even a system fitted at high level to work in conjunction with a trampoline.
